• 42 = (5 x (9 +1)) - 8

Must Use Subtraction in the Equation

• 42= (8 x 6) - 6
• 42= (9 x 8) - (5 x 6)
• 42= (6 x 9) - (6 x 2)

• 42= 7 x 6
• 42= (5 x 8) + 2
• 42= ((4 x 5) x 2) + 2
